PROJECT MANAGER

Position Overview:

 

  • Project Manager (Code: PM) is responsible for overall project planning, scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while coordinating technical directions from Sr. Engineers and Project Engineers. She/he will ensure compliance with quality standards from the clients. Project managers are responsible for span and broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management (i.e. Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management).

 

Major Roles:

 

  • Charting-out the project objectives and plans, setting performance requirements, and   selecting project participants.

  • Bringing optimum utilization of resources, labors, materials and equipments.

  • Implementation of various operations through proper coordination to all concerns individuals.

  • Development of effective communications and mechanisms for resolving conflicts among various participants.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the construction project from start to finish.

  • Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.

  • Create the teams, develop the objectives/goals of each and assign individual responsibilities.

  • Project accounting functions including managing the budget, tracking of team expenses and minimizing exposure and risk in the project

  • Ensure that construction activities move according to predetermined schedule.

  • Devise the project work plans and makes revisions as and when need arises.

  • Communicate effectively with the clients for responsible completing of various phases of the project.

  • Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, Sub-contractors, and laborers.

  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.

  • Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.

  • Periodic inspection to construction sites and documentations of progress.

  • Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.

  • Serve as a key link with the clients and review the deliverable prepared by the team before passing onto client.

PROJECT-IN-CHARGE

Position Overview:

  • Responsible for monitoring, reporting, updating to Project Manager all changes and status of project.

  • Review all project plans and specifications and comment on the building design, scheduling, possible cost saving measures and potential construction problems.

  • Assist in assembling the job site office and equipment requirement.

  • Have confidence in own ability to intelligently communicate with design team/client as well as effective lead trades.

  • Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on weekly basis.

  • Raise and discuss relevant issues at the job site meetings.

  • Prepare and issue minutes of all site meetings.

  • Inform the Consultant/Client of any errors, discrepancies or omissions contained within the Consultant’s design drawings.

  • Monitor site safety and ensure all requirements of the Occupational safety and Health.

  • Issue monthly progress draws and invoices to consultant and client including final holdbacks.

  • Control and monitor labor, material and equipment expenses.

  • Ensure that all required municipal inspections are performed.

  • Prepare and expedite project deficiency lists.

  • Schedule the project in logical steps and budget time required to meet deadlines.

  • Determine labor requirements and dispatch workers to construction sites.

  • Review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.

  • Take actions to deal with the results of delay, bad weather, or emergencies at construction site.

  • Responsilbe for the planning, design and implementation of the various scope of work necessary for the completion of project

 

Qualification:

  • Registered Civil Engineer (Candidate must possess at least a Professional License (Board Passer/ Professional License Exam.) Engineering (Civil) or equivalent.

PROJECT ENGINEER

Position Overview:

 

Successful applicants can often be described as a liaison between the project manager and the technical disciplines involved in a project. They are the primary technical point of contact for the client. Responsibilities include schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for engineering and other technical activities relating to the project. Also be in charge of performance management of vendors for the specifications of construction requirements. They assure the accuracy of financial forecasts, which tie-in to project schedules. They ensure projects are completed according to project plans.

Qualification:

  • Minimum 2 years site experience in Horizontal and Vertical construction

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

Duties and Responsibilities

 

PEEE (Project Engr. – Electrical Engineer) – METRO MANILA BASE

 

  • Electrical Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing practical solutions to technical issues, managing field controlled projects, and participating with operations management to effectively utilize and manage area assets.

 

  • Assets would normally include pump stations, meter sites, and valve sites. Responsibilities also include designing, programming, testing and supervising the installation of electrical and control equipment upgrades required to operate, control, and monitor liquid pipeline systems.

 

  • Developing and maintaining equipment specifications, participating and/or leading design reviews, interfacing with field personnel and Operations Support Engineer, troubleshooting, developing electrical designs and programs, and providing timely documentation packages.

Requirements:

 

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree,

        Professional License (Passed Board/Bar/Professional License Exam),

      Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent.

MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Position Overview:

  • Responsible in preparing realistic, adaptable & accurate initial budget estimates

SAFETY ENGINEER/OFFICER

Position Overview:

 

Responsible to oversee the executions and preparations of all plumbing, Fire Protection and any sanitary related requirements of project sites.  Also analyze and produce design calculations, reports, letters, and production of design drawings and technical specifications for sanitary requirements. The post-holder will report on a day-to-day basis to Project Manager and ultimately to the Group Leader or MEPF Head. He or She is Responsible for defined parts of a project including checking drawings and calculations produced by project designers. Ensure to meet agreed deadlines and assisting the management for resources within defined budgets and specifications. Perform other duties if necessary.

Qualification:

 

  • Male or Female

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Sanitary Engineering or equivalent.

  • Must be a Licensed Sanitary Engineer.

  • At least 2 years minimum experience in the position is required.

  • Extensive knowledge in AutoCAD, MS Office Applications and other similar design software.

  • Engineering design skills and knowledge in building services (i.e. sanitary/plumbing installations, plumbing and drainage systems, water and wastewater systems, fire protection design, installation, testing and commissioning.

  • Demonstrated experience in coordination with other MEPF trades, estimating and bidding, review of construction plans and specifications.

SAFETY OFFICER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties and responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to ensure that operations are maintained in an effective, up to date and accurate manner.

  • Update and report current site manpower including all direct, manpower agency workers and security guards.

  • Confirm with HR Field Coordinator/Specialist new workers assigned on plant

  • Monitor, check and coordinate with Head Office all Utility bills payments.

  • Prepare correspondences, reports and other documents and submit to HR Field Coordinator/Specialist

  • Take and distribute site minutes of the meetings

  • Coordinate repairs of office facilities and equipments.

  • Receives and disseminate HRMD official memorandums, letter and notices as directed.

  • Provide services as Safety Officer to ensure compliance to Safety and Health Standard practices as specified on Rule 1040 of the Department Order No. 16 Series of 2011.

  • Monitor renewal and expiration of Safety Officer COSH Trainings and Accreditation

  • Assist in the development, implementation and promotion of Safety and Loss Prevention Program including Safe Work Practices/ Safe Job Procedures and the Site Emergency Response Plan.

  • Ensure availability of documents such as Officer Accreditation Certificate, minutes of the meeting, attendance sheet of all participants and pictures taken during Health and Safety Standard orientation during DOLE or government endorsed audit

  • Coordinate with the preparation of DOLE requirements such as the Annual Safety and Health Standard Report, Annual Medical Report and etc.

  • Monitor the Health and Safety Standard compliance of all on-site workers and all – site personnel including visitors to ensure site safety practices are followed.

  • Identify and review various health and safety concerns specific to the work site and prepares in-depth study and recommendation to avid recurrence of the incidents/accidents.

  • Review accident summary reports along with accident trends and take appropriate recommendation/action.

  • Update and display safety policies and pertinent information on the company/site bulletin board.

  • Advise on appropriate protective equipment and report non-PPE compliances

  • Assist injured workers by giving first aid and endorse to nearest hospital for medical treatment and administer the return to work policy

  • Complete, monitor and record on-site PPE requirement

  • Maintain 5S, good Housekeeping in the assigned area.

  • Perform other related functions that may be assigned from time to time.

  • At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position. Preferably 1-4 Years Experienced Employees specializing in Clerical/Administrative Support or equivalent

  • Accountable for process costing, project margin analysis, and tracing cost back to underlying activities/or a per project basis

  • Perform cost accumulation task and variance analysis i.e. actual vs. BOQ

  • Perform other duties that may be assigned by the immediate superior.
